Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV chef and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and pumped-up personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals straightforward, simple techniques to master for home cooks on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was a student and worked at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. While growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. She pursued her passion for the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she states. I just couldn't get enough pleasure from the experience. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy taking classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In Italy she gained an appreciation and appreciation for Italian culinary traditions. This had an enormous effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids who have challenges. Burrell is often a guest to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship role. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate to be able to share her true passion with other people.
