Natalie Dormer
was born on 11 February 1982. She is an English actress. She has been awarded
an Empire Award and been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics Choice
Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Born in Reading, Berkshire, Dormer
gained notoriety for her character of Anne Boleyn in the Showtime show The
Tudors (2007-08), that won her praise from the public. She made her stage debut
in the play Sweet Nothings (2010) and played the Duchess of York in Madonna's
movie W.E. (2011) and Private Lorraine in Captain America: The First Avenger
(2011). The Young Vic praised her performance in After Miss Julie (2012).
Dormer gained international attention and accolades for her performance as
Margaery Tyrell on the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in
the two final episodes of The Hunger Games franchise (2014-2015) and are among
her highest-grossing film. Dormer has also played Irene Adler/Moriarty in the
CBS series Elementary (2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price in The Forest (2016) and
voiced Onica in the TV series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). She
earned praise for her character in the mini-series Penny Dreadful: City of
Angels (2020). Dormer was born on February 11, 1982 in Reading, Berkshire
(England), as the daughter of Gary Dormer & Claire Richards. She is
also the younger sister of Samantha Dormer and Mark Dormer.
