Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) and was Director of the national office at Mary Kay,
and Freddie Wright, a pharmaceutical executive. She was born and raised in San
Diego. She started her professional career when she was 14 when she began
modeling. She has worked in Paris, Japan and Paris. When she graduated from
high school she was a professional actress. She was included in the soap opera
Santa Barbara (1984), in which she was nominated three more times for Daytime
Emmys. She fell in love with Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They
were married in the year 1986. She starred as the princess bride (1987) in the
role of the title. After leaving the cast in Santa Barbara, she got the lead
role in Denial (1990) with Jason Patric. She met Sean Penn in 1990 while she
was in State of Grace (1990). They had their daughter Dylan Frances with him
and an infant son named Hopper Jack. Robin returned to Hollywood with Tara
which was one of her most memorable roles in her career, after taking an
absence. She was extremely amazing and stunning. Next, she was in Toys (1992)
in the film Toys (1992) alongside Robin Williams. She gave an amazing
performance. In 1994, Wright was in the blockbuster sensation Forrest Gump
(1994), alongside Tom Hanks. For her performance as Jenny she earned her an
award nomination for the Golden Globe Award. She had a small role in The
Crossing Guard (1995) with Jack Nicholson. After refusing 14 roles, she was
offered the title role in MGM/UA’s Moll Flanders (1996). The movie was directed
by Pen Densham and featured Morgan Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan
Freeman. Then, she starred in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997) co-starring William
Hurt.
