Rosamund Pike
Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the only child of Caroline (Friend) Pike, mother of a classical violinist as well as Julian Pike, an opera singer dad. Both parents were extremely hard-working and she travelled extensively throughout Europe during her childhood. Pike attended Bristol's Badminton School and started acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike was only 23 when she appeared in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then discovered by an agent and was signed. The film that she made her debut was a high-budget action film. But her subsequent film work was primarily in independent films like Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). For which she was awarded the Best Supporting Actress prize in The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) was a film that featured Pike as one of the Bennet girls.
