Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi, Ukraine on the 14th of August 1983. Kunis immigrated with her parents Elvira Kunis and Mark Kunis to the United States at seven years of age. They eventually moved to Los Angeles. The Kunis family was unable to get into America with the sum of $250. Kunis' parents both quit their professions to help their children. Mark, an engineer who retired, was soon able to get employment as a taxi driver. Elvira who had studied physics in Ukraine became a pharmacist. Kunis admitted that he didn't understand American culture at first. "I did not understand the American people. I didn't understand their language. My essay for admission to college started with the sentence, "Imagine being blind and deaf as a child." That's exactly the experience I had when I moved to America. It was easy to forget. Milena Markovna Kunis was the child of Mark Kunis in Chernivtsi (Ukraine), and Elvira. Her elder brother is also hers. Her mother works as a pharmacist as well as a physics teacher. Her father is a mechanical engineering by profession. He doubles up as a driver of taxis. She is Jewish. Her family relocated from Israel to Los Angeles when she turned seven. Rosewood Elementary was where she went to school. When she was just nine-years-old she started acting classes. She auditioned for a few commercials and then began her career on television in her first role on 'Days of Our Lives', in 1994.She starred in minor roles as a young actor in 'Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves' 'Santa with Muscles and the Angelina Jolie moviecalled 'Gia'. She was first cast in the 1998 sitcom That ’70s show as Jackie Burkhart. Her performance was praised by the critics. In 1999, she was given the role of Meg Griffin on the animated sitcom Family Guy.
